As someone who has personally experienced the transformative power of Reiki, I am honored to be able to share this incredible practice with others.

Reiki is a form of energy healing that uses light touch or no-touch techniques to help promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It originated in Japan in the early 1900s and has since gained popularity around the world as a complementary therapy to traditional medicine.

My journey with Reiki began when I was struggling with grief, addiction, anxiety and stress.

I had tried various methods to cope, but nothing seemed to provide long-lasting relief ( or more imporatntly to me ) a sense of real connection with myself . It wasn't until I discovered Reiki and had my first treatment that I truly began to experience a sense of peace ,inner calm and positive change .

Reiki is based on the principle that we are all connected by an unseen and universal life force energy, known as ki or chi ( in India it is called Prana).

When this energy/connection to life force energy is blocked or disrupted, it can lead to physical, emotional, and spiritual imbalances. During a Reiki session, the practitioner channels this energy to the recipient, helping to remove blockages and promote healing on all levels/wholsitically.

One of the things I love about Reiki is its simplicity. You don't have to believe in anything in particular or have any special abilities to benefit from this practice. All you need is an open mind and a willingness to receive.

A Reiki session typically lasts between 30-90 minutes and can be done in-person or remotely.

During the session, the recipient lies down fully clothed while the practitioner places their hands in various positions on or near the body. You may feel sensations such as warmth or tingling, ‘see’ colours, or you may simply feel a deep sense of relaxation.

The benefits of Reiki are many, and can include:

  • Reducing anxiety

  • Improving sleep

  • Promoting feelings of calm and well-being

  • Boosting the immune system through the natural healing of the body

  • Helping to manage stressful life situations

Reiki is a gentle and non-invasive practice that can be used alongside traditional medical treatments or on its own. It is suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds, and can be particularly beneficial for women who are dealing with stress.
